Welcome to the Flathead Food Bank!
The Flathead Food Bank is a nonprofit community organization. Our mission is to provide temporary, emergency food assistance to those in need. We operate our main pantry in Kalispell and four satellite pantries around the Flathead Valley.
Montana has one of the highest rates of food insecurity in the country. 18% of the Flathead Valley is faced with not knowing where their next meal will come from. Unfortunately, nearly one-half of those are children. Our satellite pantries in Marion, Martin City, Bigfork and Evergreen serve emergency food assistance to local families up to twenty-four times a year. The Kalispell pantry provides this same service up to twelve times a year.
In 2010, the Flathead Food Bank served 455,220 meals to 50,580 people. Total food given away in 2010 was 1,198,220 pounds!
Our needs at the Flathead Food Bank are ongoing and urgent. The number of families we assist is continually growing. If you would like to make an online tax deductible donation to support feeding the hungry in the Flathead, visit our donate now page. You can contribute by online personal check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express.
